Raymond That video was really helpful. And I had discovered it a while back that it is easier to clean up everyday for 15 minutes than doing a huge job every saturday. And when you life in an clean and orderly environment you really do feel a lot better and have more energy.
Keep making this great videos.

Raymond, as you were talking, I was looking at my desk. The mess on it spreads onto the floor and every flat surface available, including the top of the mess.
I have made a decision to get rid of the mess right now and eliminating Mr. Hide for ever by taking care and filing every paper and email that come to me on a daily basis. I have set aside one hour after dinner every day to do just that.
Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge. Got to go, my desk is waiting for me.

Ughhhh! I have the more I look around me, the more messes I have, and have accepted each day. As I make my list, I see what a weight is on my back. Thanks for helping me to open up my eyes and really see what is holding me back!

I keep getting this same information – the Universe is telling me something! i have been cleaning messes and it is 100% true – they hold you down. I started small and have been working my way to the biggest. Every mess I conquer makes me feel better and my energy levels rise – plus, the embarrassment saved is wonderful, too!

I have NO one to help me, either, so cleaning and maintaining is all on me. I am unemployed at the moment so can not hire anyone and none of my friends are willing to help even on an exchange basis. Any advice for me besides getting a job and better friends?

My request is: more tips and a longer video. How do I keep the momentum? What are my options when a project is over whelming and even breaking it into smaller steps doesn't help? What is the psychology behind creating messes? Any and all information would be helpful. The video format really helps me, too.

Thank you so much, and I am truly glad to be part of this community.

The first time i watched your video something stuck in my mind. I thought was a great idea but did nothing. However i kept hearing the cord you struck in me and yesterday made a pledge to myself to clean 100 messes. There are 100 days left in this decade so if i clean one mess a day I will have cleaned 100 messes! Just imagine, this will probably be more than I have cleaned in any previous decade in my life. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Raymond for your most inspiring messages. You speak from the heart to the heart. I am very grateful to have you cheer leading in my corner. I will keep you posted on my messes.

  Wow! Its day three and things going better than I had expected. I completed compiling my list to clean 100 messes in 100 days and began to work on it. I tell you Raymond I should be taking pictures. Especially of the toilet that was sitting in the driveway for I am ashamed to say far too long. It’s now GONE! Along with the rest of junk that was piling up there. It now looks and feels great to pull into a clean driveway. Isn’t it funny that within one hour after making the decision to commit to cleaning my messes, out of the blue, my father in law called to say he was going to the dump and could stop by and pickup anything I needed to get rid of. Six messes have been cleaned so far! I think it’s OK to jump ahead. It just feels so good to be liberated from this mind clatter. I’ll just add some to the end of the list later or maybe take a day off. Messes cleaned to date are: the driveway, workbook organized (it was busting at the seams), basement laundry area, pantry, deposited money in special fund (1st time in over one year), made bed (hope to repeat this small task 100 times). I am immensely grateful to you for getting me started with your messes video please keep the videos coming. GREAT JOB!

My mes is that I don't have a job and I don't work. I am 56 years old and I can't do what I have done before. I have a disability and I was doing anything for employment and now I can't do that anymore. So my employment options are not very good. I was told that I don't have the education and the experience to do something different for employment. I took courses before and but the employers wouldn't hire me. I was put into special schools because I couldn't learn normally. I was taken out of grade one and put into special classes and I never had a normal education. I worked as a security guard and production worker, factory worker and warehouse worker. Now I can't do the shifts and heavy lifting anymore and now I don't get anything for work and I live with my mother of 88 years old. I receive a small disability income from the Canadian Government. I do have some savings and some RRSP's. I don't qualify for further government assistance because I have more than $5000 in assets such as RRSP's. I am taking out $10,000 per year from my RRSP's so that I will qualify for the Guaranteed Income Supplement went I am 65 years old. I tried have a business and It didn't work out. I tried day trading but I had a crooked broker and the trades weren't real and the broker gave me some money for two years of trading the Mini S&P 500. After that a Florida company called me up and I gave them $33,000 U.S and I lost most of that in two months. They promised me to double my money within 2 months and that didn't happen. I tried vending sports cards vending machines and that didn't work out and I lost most of my money. I am 56 years old and living with my mother with no friends and no girl friend or wife or children and going no where in life!

Your video gave me the kick in the pants I needed. In my case, my messes reveal the need for me to let go of some details in my life in order to cope with what is essential. You have pointed out that these messes are essential. They are putting additional weight on me, bogging me down. I feel it everyday. Since viewing your clip I have tackled minor projects and felt better about myself. On the weekend, I am going to pick away at the garage. Your message is the first domino to lean against my list of messes, and one by one they will be knocked down.
Thanks for your motivational comments. I am no longer ineffective. I am taking charge.

Hello Raymond! Suggestions on keeping messes clean would be good. My personal email inbox is overwhelming. I struggle with deleting emails and even getting to all of them. I belong to many email mailing lists (like yours) because i have so many subjects of interest. There is a lot of good information and I feel like i will eventually get to it, but as you know they just keep coming…

Great 'cleaning up your messes' video. I loved the analogy of Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde – of course, different tasks, different skills. I now feel energised and ready to clean up a mess I've been putting off for a long time.
